Confidentiality

1. Purpose

This page explains how information shared through the Safeguarding Interface website is treated.

The Safeguarding Interface recognises that individuals and organisations may wish to explore safeguarding alignment, governance questions or accreditation options confidentially and without obligation.

2. Scope of confidentiality

Information shared through:

  • contact enquiries

  • expressions of interest

  • exploratory discussions

  • questions about alignment accreditation

is treated as confidential and handled with appropriate discretion.

3. How information is handled

Information shared with us will:

  • be accessed only where necessary

  • be used solely to respond to your enquiry or support understanding of the framework

  • not be shared externally without a lawful basis

We do not publish, disclose or reference enquiries or discussions without permission.

4. Safeguarding boundaries

This confidentiality statement does not override statutory safeguarding duties.

If information is shared that indicates:

  • a child or vulnerable person is at risk of harm, or

  • a safeguarding concern requires statutory action

appropriate safeguarding procedures may apply.

Responsibility for safeguarding decisions remains with the relevant statutory authorities and duty holders.

5. Commercial sensitivity

We recognise that organisations may share commercially sensitive or governance-related information during early discussions.

Such information is treated with discretion and is not used for marketing, publication or external reference.

6. What this page does not create

This page does not:

  • create a contractual obligation

  • replace formal confidentiality or non-disclosure agreements

  • imply advisory, legal or safeguarding responsibility

It exists to support open, proportionate and responsible dialogue.

7. Questions

If you have questions about confidentiality or how information is handled, you can contact us via the Contact page on this website.

Confidentiality supports trust, but it does not replace statutory safeguarding responsibility.
